This is my final project, it is a digital collage that I made in Photoshop. I thought of making this digital collage with these pictures because I also made a manual collage with the same pictures.

Firstly, I edited the pictures in Photoshop, and I added intense colors to make them look better. I started to arrange the pictures in different positions to see how they look better. Finally, I found a position that I like and I started to add colors and details. I used shapes from Photoshop and some details from Google. This is something simple because I have the manual collage and the manual poster and most of the people said it looks good.

Something that was easy and I liked was when I added details and color.

I chose these pictures because this is my journey and I think it's a good idea. I think that my collages and the poster are as good as they come because while I was absent for 2 months, I recovered the lessons quite well.  I managed to recover the lessons in a few weeks and I finished them very quickly because I already knew what I had to do, in Photoshop and PowerPoint. My research was personal because I had all the ideas and information. I also looked for some ideas for the collage on YouTube, and I got inspired from there.

If I were to do this again in the future, I will try to make it bigger and add more details to make it look much better. Colored papers, buttons, beads, and more writing.

My journey was not easy at all. It all started in Romania, I spend there for a long time in the hospital but I didn't solve anything, and I had to come to the UK. I had 2 operations with 2 total anesthesias. I am happy that I had the opportunity to share this through this collage.

Manual collage 

Evaluation

This is the manual collage. As you can see, it's about my operations. I was influenced to make this collage by the journey I had. The collage helped me in structuring, developing, analysing, and presenting visual issues that are difficult to describe in words. I decided to make it on a large pink paper to have a beautiful and colorful background. After I arranged the pictures that I cut out and pasted them on the paper, I added some arrows so that you can figure out in which order they are the pictures. That writing under the pictures explains everything that happened, I did research on the Word document to choose a type of writing for the collage, and then I printed and pasted it. To make it look more accentuated, I highlighted next to the pictures with colored markers. I used my drawing skills and drew some flowers and some details. And to give a 3D effect, I printed some blue butterflies and stuck them only in the middle to make them seem like they are flying. These butterflies represent something from my life because before I was like a larva because my problem kept me down, and after the operations, I was free like a butterfly.

My first idea was to make an animation about my trip from Romania to the UK. But I changed my mind about making a manual collage so that I can learn more skills in art. If I were to do the animation, I would do it on Adobe Animate and learn media skills. I think that my final product came out quite ok in my opinion, and the teachers said that it looks very good, and I am happy. I think I did good, maybe 6/10, and deserve a pass. You can see that the collage communicates my idea well because you have the arrows to show you the way and the writing to explain. Something I like about my collage is the pictures as they are placed, and the drawings. The hard part was when I had to think how I should make the collages, because I wanted something good to pass, and something easy was when I glued I drew the pictures and really enjoyed them. If I were to repeat this process in the future, I would change the size of the pictures, bigger, their shape, and more details such as glitter, beads, and many designs, and more 3d things, because I think that way it would look much better and attract more attention. But at the moment I'm happy with how it turned out.

Evaluation 

Finally, this is my poster. I decided to make this collage to improve my drawing skills. I took an A4 paper and sketched some pictures that I also have in the manual and digital collage. After I made the sketch, I went with the black pen to make them look better. And then I added colors. I drew a map of Romania and a map as if it were the UK and a plane to show my journey. I put places where I have been and I walked around London and I cut out an image with a room where there are doctors and a patient on a bed. And as a background, I would add a lighter color so that the paper does not remain white. For this poster, I researched on YouTube and got my inspiration from there. https://youtu.be/20Z1E5de04A

I think my idea developed ok because it is part of the journey project and shows my journey. I made this poster because I wanted to show my ideas and show my drawing skills.

Something that went well and was easy is when I added colors and how I managed to draw the hospital picture from the bed. If I had to make this poster again, I would make it on a larger sheet and have it already colored, and add glitter.

I asked my classmates and they said that the drawings with me are on point and seem realistic, so something that is bad is that the colors are not contrasted and something that I should improve would be to put the pictures of me above, not just a few in the bottom.
